Ralph Davis ’68

As an undergrad at Zeta-Theta Brother Davis was a sociable guy. He served four years on the social committee and was a “personal friend of the Dean and all of the students. Of which there were only 2500.”

After graduating with a BBA in 1968 he started with Retail Credit Company, working as an investigator then with national sales. In 1972 he moved to American Fidelity Assurance, where he spent 30 years and sold group insurance through large trade associations such as Texas Automotive Association, Texas Bankers’ Association, Texas Press Association and others.

For his efforts Davis received many awards, culminating in 1987 when he was the top producer for the company. He also received membership in the President’s Round Table.

Ralph has continued to remain active within the community and university. He is Chairmen of the By-laws Committee for the Heritage Association of San Marcos and he spent 12 years as Board of Director for the Texas State Alumni Association. In 2005 he received the Star Award for the Alumni Association.

Brother Davis has also remained committed to Zeta-Theta. He served as President of the Pi Kappa Alpha Housing Corporation for more than a dozen years. He has continued to work with the chapter.

Ralph and Dr. Barbara have two children, Laura and Chris.

Brother Davis credits Zeta-Theta for everlasting brotherhood and friendship. “Brothers were always there to help with difficulties I was having with any of my classes. Which left my graduation as a concerted effort by the whole Fraternity. My total experience with the involvement of the Fraternity and social life was a tremendous help and contributed to the success in my 40 years in Sales.”
