Jeffrey Dochen has practiced as a real estate broker in the West Lake Hills area of Austin since the mid to late 70’s, helping neighbors buy and sell their homes, including the development of numerous neighborhoods and subdivisions, by purchasing land, building roads, installing utilities and selling lots for custom home construction.
In the early 80’s he was one of the founding members of the Loop 360 Water Supply Corporation, a not-for-profit organization, originated to provide water service to homeowners within the district’s service area, Jeffrey served as the longest serving member of the Board of Directors until 2014.
He was a member of the Young Men’s Business League where he served the community through various leadership positions as well as the chairing the annual Bun Run, a charitable event that forms the financial foundation for the Austin Sunshine Camps which invite thousands of economically disadvantaged children to enjoy a summer camp experience at the Zilker Park and the Lake Travis camp locations.
Jeffrey Served on the board of the Austin Chamber of Commerce during the 1990’s in a variety of positions and chaired the annual Cow Patty Open, another charitable fun (d) raising event that funded a special AISD program that enhanced the learning experience for elementary aged children.
More recently he captained/shepherded/founded/financed a start-up real estate company in Austin called Sky Realty, Inc, which has grown to include the sponsorship of 85 real estate agents and brokers with offices in Austin, Georgetown and Wimberely, Texas.
Since 2013 he has worked with David Collier and other members of the Pi Kappa Alpha Housing Board to find the best possible choice for a new home for the Chapter in San Marcos.
Says Jeffrey, “It has been such a joy to work with David and my other Brothers in searching for a new home and analyzing the characteristics of each potential home-site, and in the Bonds, we are close to finding a new home site with many of the positive characteristics that we seek! Hopefully this will be where the Pike’s, both Active and Alumni, can call home until we celebrate our 100th year!”
