James Fite ’73

James was initiated into Pi Kappa Alpha in ’71, where he majored in History and minored in Government. While he was an undergrad, Brother Fite held the Pledge Master Position for two years.

After graduating in ’73, he became a State Farm Agent up until ’83. After leaving State Farm, he worked for AllState as an agent until he became the Owner of an Independent Agency known as the Insurance Agency of San Marcos. Kevin has been an independent insurance agent for the past thirty-one years.

Fite has stayed involved with his community by being a part of the Lions Club, where he has been Chairman of the Board Scheib MH MR in San Marcos for ten years. He has also stayed involved with the Fraternity, holding membership of the Housing Corporation.

James is married to Connie, and they have four children named Kimberly (43), Kristin (35), Nicci (29) and James (26).

The Zeta-Theta Chapter of Pi Kappa Alpha is where Fite met “some good fellows and made a few lifelong friends.” He says he also “learned a few bad things, which I will not mention”.
